New Delhi, February 22, 2020 – The High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to India, H.E. Mr. Baraka Luvanda addressed on 22 February 2020 a Conference organized by the Indian Society of International Law, in collaboration with the Asia-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO) to mark 60 years of ISIL’s existence. The conference took place in New Delhi and it attracted over 70 legal scholars from around India.
In his keynote address, Ambassador Luvanda congratulated the ISIL for contributing in the progressive evolution of international law and wished it many more years of success. He also commended AALCO for its intellectual legal contribution which has enhanced the progressive codification of international law in the Asia-African region and globally. Ambassador Luvanda used the opportunity to reaffirm Tanzania’s unflinching support to AALCO in many years to come.
