Kathmandu, March 01, 2020 - The High Commissioner of the United Republic of Tanzania to India who is also Accredited to Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal signed an agreement on behalf of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, with the Honorary Consul of the United Republic of Tanzania in Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal Mr. Rajesh Chaudhary on 1st March, 2020 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Mr. Rajesh Chaudhary assumes his duties as Honorary Consul of the United Republic of Tanzania to Nepal at the official Commissioning ceremony scheduled for 2nd March 2020. The ceremony will be graced by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal, Hon. Pradeep Gyawali with the presence of Nepalese government dignitaries, officials and members of Honorary Consuls of various countries in Nepal.
Mr. Rajesh Chaudhary is a well known and successful businessman with a lot of potential in furthering the existing bilateral relations between the two countries. He is also well connected with government leaders and private sector in Nepal.
His commitment and passion to represent Tanzania in Nepal paves a way in flourishing the existing bilateral relations and will open diverse and new opportunities for engagement between the two governments and people to people relations.
High Commissioner Luvanda also paid a courtesy visit to the Nepal Chamber of Commerce where he had a meeting with the Executive committee of the chamber.
In his remarks he invited the members of the Nepal chamber of commerce to explore and tap the investment and business opportunities readily available in Tanzania. He highlighted the available opportunities in different sectors with emphasis on tourism and agriculture sectors.
