New Delhi- May 16, 2024-Dr. Kheri Goloka, Health Attache of the Tanzania High Commission, met with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) delegation from Kerala to discuss Tanzania's participation in the Global Ayurveda Summit 2024 and Kerala Health Tourism 2024. Dr. Goloka emphasized the mutual benefits of Tanzania's involvement, highlighting India's leadership in traditional medicine and the potential for collaborative research in areas such as herbal medicine and wellness therapies.
He underscored the importance of the Global Ayurveda Summit for Tanzanian healthcare professionals to gain insights into Ayurveda, which could enhance holistic and preventive care in Tanzania. Additionally, he pointed out the potential for Tanzania to become a premier destination for health and wellness tourism by learning from Kerala's success in the field. Dr. Goloka proposed forming a diverse delegation and scheduling bilateral meetings with key Indian stakeholders to explore partnerships.
The meeting, attended by notable figures including Dr. S. Sajikumar of Dhathri Ayurveda Hospital, Kerala and Mr. B. Jeikrishnan, Director & Head of CII Kerala, marked a significant step towards strengthening healthcare and tourism ties between Tanzania and India. Dr. Goloka concluded by expressing confidence in the success of these initiatives, which promise to enhance Tanzania's healthcare system, promote traditional medicine, and boost health tourism.
