The High Commission of the United Republic of Tanzania in New Delhi is acredited to servce five countries namely: India, Singapore, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. The Mission was established in 1962 when it was operating from a rented office located at Greater Kailash, New Delhi before shifting to a permanent premises at Chanakyapuri in 2007.
Since inception, the Mission is profoundly dedicated to promote cordial bilateral relations in every aspect of the diplomatic cooperation with the Government of India, other countreis in the area of accrediation and the people.
The High Commission performs various functions, including maintaining and strenthening bilateral relations, promoting and defending Tanzania’s interests, and providing consular services to Tanzania nationals residing or traveling in the area of acreditation.
